How to Overcome Fear with Faith

So often we turn our backs on God by saying we will not trust him to protect us and provide for us like he promised. Instead, we are so quick to put our focus on what frightens or worries us. Each time, we are telling God that our fears are greater than our faith. Is that how you really feel? I sure hope not!

Well, today I am sharing how you can overcome that fear of yours with faith, and allow God to do as he promised.

Isaiah 35:3-4

Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way; say to those with fearful hearts. “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come, he will come with vengeance; with divine retribution he will come to save you.”

Proverbs 29:25

Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe

1 John 4:18

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Matthew 10:28

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Hebrews 13:5-6

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you;  never will I forsake you.”So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear?

The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?

2 Corinthians 5:1

For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands.
