sunday routine for productivity

Sunday Routine To Skyrocket Productivity

Having a productive week doesn’t start on Monday morning. Planning ahead actually takes a few days.

To have a good, productive week, you must have a plan that will actually work.

My Sundays are usually pretty routine, so I find Sunday to be the best day to plan for that week. I will make mental notes throughout the week before of what I’ll need to do the next week, so when it’s time to plan it out on Sunday, I’m ready.

But even so, the plan you make that Sunday can go from Monday to the following Sunday if it will help you stay on task on Sunday.

Having things written out and planned helps with anxiety, organization,  and procrastination.

Here are 5 things I’ve found very helpful to do on a Sunday that will guarantee you a productive week:

#1. Plan Out Your Week

Like I said earlier, throughout the week I keep a mental record of the goals I want to tackle during the next week. The first thing I do to prepare for a productive week is to write all of them down in one place and figure out the best way to go about them. Tentatively create to-do lists for the week and/or plan out your daily routines. Update your appointments for that week so your week is planned out without conflicts.

#2. Tidy Up

Clean up your room, bathroom, and wash and clean your sheets. This will help you feel decluttered and organized. Continue to put things in their place throughout the week to help your space stay fresh and clean. Clean spaces help eliminate anxiety. You will designate days throughout the week to clean the rest of your house unless it’s part of your Sunday routine.

#3. Plan Your Wardrobe

Check the forecast for the week and plan and prepare your outfits for each day. This will make your morning routines before work or school run so much more smoothly. It gives you more time in the morning to focus on having a great productive day.

#4. Unwind and Relax

Take some time to unwind and relax before the week begins. Take a hot shower or bath and get some me-time to put your mind at ease. It’s still the weekend after all. Mental breaks are necessary to have the mental stamina you need to be productive, so try to get time to relax in each night.

#5. Get Ready For the Next Day

Pack your bag, prepare your lunch, and place everything you can in a convenient place to grab and go on your way to work/school  (Sunday night and each night during the week for the next day). This gives you one less thing to do during your busy morning routine, and you will be less likely to forget things.
