My First Time

Well hello, September! Today I’m doing a get to know me, and since it’s the first of the month, I figured I’d share some of my first-time experiences with you. So let’s jump in!
- My first car was a black 1997 Ford Explorer Sport. I got it in the Summer of 2001.
- My first apartment was in West Columbia, SC. I moved in right after getting my first car.
- My first plane ride was to Miami. I think I was about 7 or 8 years old.
- My first time to the west coast was in 2016 when I went to L.A. for a blogger’s conference.
- My first time taking a dance class was when I was 12 years old.
- My first time dancing professionally was in 2002 for the Philadelphia 76ers.
- My first time teaching was as an assistant teacher at a daycare in Columbia, SC in 2001.
- My first time attending college was in 1997 at South Carolina State University. I attended for my first 2 years of college before transferring to the University of South Carolina.
- My first time graduating from college was in 2005 from the University of South Carolina, after taking 2 years off to dance professionally. I did not attend my ceremony since I actually finished in the Fall of 2004.
- My first time teaching full-time was in August of 2013, as a dance teacher.
- My first time buying a house was in July 2015, I closed on August 27th.
- My first time buying a new car was in October 2007. It is the car I still drive, a 2007 Toyota 4Runner.
- My first time riding an adult roller coaster was in 1984, I was 5 years old.
- My first time going to Disney World was in 1985.
I’m the one with the pink shirt & white shorts. - My first time getting a tattoo was in 1997. I got it in Savannah, GA my freshman year of college.
- My first body piercing is a belly ring I got in 1998.
- My first time driving was when I was 17. It was for driving lessons.
- My first time getting my driver’s license was in 2001.
- My first majorly drastic haircut was in 1998. I asked for a few inches, she gave me an unexpected pixie.
- My first cat was called Poopie. We got her when I was 13.
