The Cutest DIY Halloween Costumes | 2018

Halloween is just a few weeks away and  I a so excited to plan out my DIY costume. This year I’m going for cute and funny. These picks are easy to make, budget-friendly, and may be found in your closet and a quick visit to the dollar store.

Candy Dots

Catus

How cute is this? Grab some old pants from your closet and buy some Smarties. Attach the Smarties onto your pants, add some suspenders and glasses with a button down shirt and you are ready to go.

How creative is this? Although this one is not so simple. I loved it too much not to share. Another budget-friendly DIY costume to DIY/ You will need a white tee, iron letters or vinyl for FAKE, and a couple Sunday newspapers with a ribbon. Fold the newspaper pages to make diamond shapes, hole punch each at the top angle, feed the ribbon through, cut the ribbon to size, and your newspaper tutu is done. Wear some black leggings or shorts underneath cause there’s sure to be, umm, some exposure if not.

Ice Cream Cone

Just cut up the paper/ straws into smaller rectangular pieces and attach them to the top of your shirt. Then blow up a red balloon for your cherry on top by attaching it to a headband or some bobby pins.

White Rabbit

diy halloween costumesThis costume may be less DIY and more buy, but some of these items you may already have around the house. You need a blazer, a clock, large bowtie, and white bunny ears. Fix the clock so that you are able to wear it and add some cute makeup to your face and you are all set. You can even make easy bunny ears using white felt, floral wire or pipe cleaners with a headband or bobby pins.
